Low Water Bridge

This 9x12 pastel done from a photo I took at Horeshoe Bay (Marble Falls) The view is from a low water bridge and looks over at a golf hole. I look forward to going down again the end of October.

Ike Evacuee

I did this 6x8 pastel of a white heron as Hurricane Ike came through. Our lights flickered once, but after a lot of prep it was a non event. We usually have a white heron or a large blue (We call Guneybird) on our top deck rail every morning. What a beautiful sight. He is not really an evauee, but a regular visitor.

"Santa Fe Sunflower"

This was so simple and bright that I decided to use it on my business card. It was a Christmas gift so it is not available, but I can probably do another.

"Canyon Road Adobe"

This was done from a photo taken while in Santa Fe. I would love to go back. The area and art are such an inspiration.

"Rio Grande Linda Vista"

This is a pastel done from a photo crossing the Rio Grande to my sister's house in El Paso.

I also do house portraits. This is a portrait of our friends house in Nevis. I used this painting to make notecards after our visit there.

This is an earlier painting done on Canson Mi-Tentes paper. I would like to print a collection of cards with my bluebonnet paintings.

This is a pastel done from a photo taken in the Hill country close to Marble Falls. 16x20 on sanded gaterfoam board. I painted this at a workshop last spring.
A beautiful day here in Texas. The dogwoods and bluebonnets are in bloom. Our lake is full from rains and there is a gentle breeze. It makes me want to be outside and to gather my pastels and paint.
